Trump wants violence against anti-Trump protesters, and his supporters give him violence.  It's getting worse, but this has happened more than once.  Trump has been 'joking' about "I'll pay your legal fees if you beat them up" since he started campaigning.

Donald Trump, August 2015: says that Black Lives Matter protesters will never be allowed at his rallies, and "I don't know if I'll do the fighting myself, or if other people will."

Trump supporters, November: punch and kick a Black Lives Matter protester at a Trump rally.
Trump responds: "Maybe he should have been roughed up"

Trump, February 2016: "I'd like to punch him in the face" [talking about a protester being led out by police]

When asked if he liked the rally, he said: “You bet I liked it. Knocking the hell out of that big mouth.”

And when asked why he punched the protester, he said: "Number one, we don’t know if he’s ISIS. We don’t know who he is, but we know he’s not acting like an American, cussing me... If he wants it laid out, I laid it out."

He added: “Yes, he deserved it. The next time we see him, we might have to kill him. We don’t know who he is. He might be with a terrorist organization.”
