It was a set-up from the start, done by a ruthless doctor that didn't care about our health, he thought only of his (and his friends') pockets.
Children suffered, some of them died. The criminal did not care.

It isn't that hard, really. Everyone should have the basic skills of double-checking the information from two independent sources. Journalists (should) do that all the time and it's a great tool to discern the truth from everything else.
